Mrs. Gibson, recently married, received her Bachelor of Arts from UAH with a major in Spanish. She taught Spanish for us last year. Fascinated by Hispanic language and culture her entire home-schooled life, a summer mission internship in Guatemala in 2010 was a dream come true.

Mrs. Hood has a BA in English from Auburn University and a MA in Journalism from Ohio State. She has taught at the high school and college level. She has worked as a news anchor for both radio and TV, and was an Assistant Producer for an Emmy award winning series for Maryland Public Television. She has been a writer and editor of several print media, including the writer of children’s devotions for www.faithsite.com.

Mrs. Houts has a bachelor's degree in medical technology from the University of Florida (1986).  She received her post-baccalaureate teacher certification in science from Western Governors University in 2007.  She homeschooled her children (ages 14 and 18) for two years and is currently teaching Apologia Biology.  She has taught Apologia Anatomy and Physiology (lab portion) for two years.  She enjoys teaching both in the classroom and at home.
